July happenings

As we all know by now Elizabeth loves her Sesame Street, especially Elmo. So mom & dad finally broke down and got her her first pet, her fish Dorothy. She loves to say hi to her and good night to her at bedtime. Daddy even changed some of his waredrobe to match Elizabeth. She was very excited!

We found out that Elizabeth LOVES the rain! Hates the snow but loves the rain. She didn't want to come inside, even after it started to lightening and thunder she wanted to run out into the fields :)

Otherwise, we've been hanging outside as much as possible in the beautiful hot weather. Elizabeth loves to dip her feet into our water bucket and hang out by our little pond where she can see her frogs.

And scary enough Elizabeth has taken to talking on the phone. At least pretending to talk on the phone and pace around the room just like her daddy :)

Cubs games

We had the opportunity to go to a couple Cubs games in July. We saw the Reds first and ended up going to the one game they won in the series. Go Cubs Go! Then we saw the Phillies and were lucky enough to go to the only game they lost in the series :( We had fun at each game despite the outcome.

After the 1st game we visited the Taste of Chicago and Elizabeth chowed down on some watermelon. Actually a lot of watermelon! She also had her first ice cream cone when we visited Ikea. After the second game we visited Chicago's new art installation. . . .a really big eye!
