Playing in the "no" (aka snow) and random Elizabeth pics

We don't want to forget about our first born and only post pictures of Tommy, so here is what we've been up to with Elizabeth. We finally had the opportunity to play in the snow. What a difference a year will make. Last year Elizabeth would scream and cry if she put a toe in the snow. This year she was so excited to go out and play in the snow! She was also insistant that we draw with sidewalk chalk . . . in the snow. It actually kind of worked!

Thomas at home

So I've been a little lax updating the blog. It's not Thomas' fault. That boy likes to eat and sleep. It's entertaining Elizabeth that is taking up my time :) So here is a bunch of pics of what we have been up to since Thomas moved in with us. Like I said, he loves to sleep and eat. But other than that he likes to spend time in his swing. He also does not mind tummy time at all like his sister did. In fact, I think he prefers to be on his stomach sometimes!

Elizabeth has been really good with Tommy. She loves to check in on him and give him kisses. She also asks to hold him often and likes to tuck him in when he falls asleep on the floor. She even picked out his clothes one day. Can you guess which ones she picked out for him???

We've been enjoying our time together as a family as well.

Thomas Allen has arrived!

Thomas Allen arrived on February 10, 2011 at 1:09 pm. He weight in at 6 lbs. 15 oz and 19.3 inches long! That's almost exactly what Elizabeth weight / measured (6 lbs. 13 oz and 19.5 inches). So far he's been a great baby and we can only hope and pray that continues. Mom had an easy delivery that went fast!



Elizabeth came and met baby Tommy. She was interested at first, but then wanted us to put him back in the crib so we could play with her :) I think this sharing mom & dad's attention will have some getting used to.

You can't tell because of the hat but Baby Tommy has just as much hair as Elizabeth did when she was born, and just as much as daddy has now :) At least Tommy's sister doesn't have to be jealous of his flowing locks :)

He's on his way . . .

We had an ultrasound this morning and the baby looks good, but my amniotic fluid is a little low, so we will be induced this evening! How exciting! Baby Machielson will be here soon. We'll keep you updated!

Getting ready for number 2

Baby number 2 will be here any day now, so I thought I'd post some pics of Elizabeth before the blog gets overwhelmed by new baby's pics :) Here she is getting ready for her little brother by feeding her baby doll:
