Roundy Ball

Grandpa taught all of his childeren, and now his grandchildren, roundy ball and it looks like Elizabeth is passing it on to Tommy :)

Tommy's first game

We took our annual trip to Wrigley to take Tommy to his first game. They played the Marlins, and lost, but Tommy might as well get used to it, right? There's always next year. We had fun anyway, as you can see from the pictures.

Visits and Three Rivers Festival

We had a lot of visitors over the past couplemonths. Aunt Kelly, Uncle Paul, Paul Donald and Joseph came to visit on their way to pick up their new dog. Elizabeth and Tommy loved having their cousins over. Of couse they spent time as all children of the 21st century do - on their Pads and iPhones :) Elizabeth enjoyed having a roommate for a night. She talked about her cousins for weeks and weeks after they left.

Grammy & Pop-Pop also came to visit for a couple days. We also had a chance to visit Busia and hang out in Sauk Village for a weekend.

After visiting with family, we were able to go to the Fort Wayne Three Rivers Festival again. It was hot, as most days have been in July, but we had fun. Of course the best part of any festival is the food :)

And then in July . . .

July has been hot . . . really, really hot. So we've been trying to stay cool. We broke out the pool and Elizabeth helped us to fill it up. Tommy even dipped his feet into it. Elizabeth has also been enjoying our sprinkler as well. Anything to stay cool!

We took Elizabeth to her first movie at the theater, Cars 2. She did really well considering. She really like the Toy Story short before the movie. She sat pretty still for the first 1/2 but then got a little antsy by the end. Thankfully the theater was filled with noisy kids :)

Tommy likes to slobber. . . and put things in his mouth. So what better than to start him on solid foods :) He's been eating cereal and some fruits and vegetables. He's slowly getting the hang of it, but he's definitely enjoying every minute of it.

What we did in June

We've been busy the past couple months, hence, the no updates on the blog. So here is an extended update on what we've been doing. We have gone to a couple weddings this summer. Elizabeth loves the dancing and the bubbles of course. Tommy likes the dancing too :)

Elizabeth has been hanging out in her play tent and inviting me and Allen to play with her too.

She's also been hanging out outside and playing with her new Buzz Lightyear trike. unfortunately she's too small to reach the pedals, but one day . . .

Tommy has been doing what all 4-5 months old do . . . eat, sleep, take baths, play and smile :) Oh yea, and cry every now and then. He's been trying to sit up on his own, but still needs a lot of help
