October events

Besides Elizabeth's birthday, we stayed busy with a lot of other activities. Busia, Aunt Debbie & Adam came to visit and Elizabeth & Adam decorated pumpkins. Then Aun Debbie helped Elizabeth carve as well.

Then Uncle Bill & Grammy came to visit. We went to a trunk 'n treat. Tommy was Elmo and Elizabeth was Strawberry Shortcake. Elizabeth didn't like the people in masks! So we took the candy and ran! We finished their visit off with a bonfire and more pumpkin carving. Grammy told us about roasting a potato on the fire. Looks too ashy for me!!! But grammy loved it :)

Elizabeth turns 4!

Elizabeth tuned 4 on October 8. How time flies! She had a Super Why themed birthday party. Both Elizabeth and Tommy enjoyed eating the cake! Elizabeth rocked out on her new Dora guitar. And had a blast on her new bike!

Elizabeth via video

Here are a sampling of videos of Elizabeth. She's been playing outside as much as she can. She's learning how to hopscotch:
Here is one of her dancing. No formal training . . . could you tell???
Here is Elizabeth' rendition of the Berenstein Bear's "The Spooky Old Tree." Precious! (Sorry it's so dark)

An Update . . . finally

We've been busy the past month or so trying to keep up with Tommy so sorry for the lack of updates. Elizabeth and Tommy helped Allen plant our mums and do some of our yardwork. When our work was done, we relaxed and enjoyed the sunshine and cool weather. Tommy loves playing with doors, so under our grill is one of his favorite places to be :)

Allen's aunt and uncle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on our anniversary, July 14. Their children threw a surprise party for them last month. We had a blast and Tommy loved playing with the balloons and the door, of course.

Zoo

We went to the zoo a couple times this summer. Once with Elizabeth and Tommy's daycare, and once with Allen's staff. Both days were wonderful. Elizabeth got to feed the giraffe for free since she wore her neck tie. She really liked his big black tongue :)
Tommy loved the petting zoo and the tree house.

Summer 2012

I've been slacking with the updates again. So here is a sampling of pictures from our summer. Elizabeth has been enjoying playing outside, when it hasn't been 100 degrees or more. She's also been enjoying baking!

Tommy too has been enjoying the out doors as much as possible.

At the conclusion of Vacation Bible School, the daycare put on a petting zoo that Elizabeth and Tommy both enjoyed.
The kids tried to play in what little rain we had this summer.

We did get to a Cubs game again this year, and they won!!!!!!

It's been a great summer, despite the weather. We can't believe how time is flying and the kids are growing so fast!
