Christmas!!!!

We started out December with Elizabeth's Christmas pageant. Here she is with her best friends Elaine and Aaliayah and her teacher from last year, Miss Chelsea.
We were able to take our family picture this year right after the Christmas program. It actually went pretty smoothly and we even got a few extra pictures of the kids and Frosty of course :)

And then of course we had Christmas itself. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with Allen's family. Elizabeth was excited with every thing she opened. Yes, you can witness her excitement at opening up a box of tissues. Granted they had princesses on them, but they are tissues :) And she loved her Snow White shoes as well.

The boys were a little more subdued, enjoying our dinner and petting Aunt Debbie's dog!

Then we spent the rest of Christmas season at home. We enjoyed fire in the fire place, opening up gifts and then of course playing with those gifts. Allen & Elizabeth even got similar gifts - Where's Waldo and When is the Doctor. They enjoyed searching for their people!
Tommy was more about eating then playing, but he did eventually get into it. In this picture it doesn't look like he's getting it :)

At long last!

An update! We have been busy over the past couple months and I haven't been very good at updating, so here we go! December was filled with making cookies, making gingerbread houses and making messes. Tommy loves getting into everything, especially if it's food. He does try to clean up after himself although he's not quite as thorough as we would like.
Elizabeth and Tommy helped us make Gingerbread houses. And by help, I mean ate the icing and candy. And distracted us from making the houses. So here is the making of the houses and the finished product. We eventually just gave up :)

We did get some snow this winter! Yea! We went on adventures on our property, built snow men and of course enjoyed some hot chocolate when we got inside!

And then of course they were both very helpful in making our Christmas cookies. They were wonderful taste testers as well.

Finally we spent time in the house. Elizabeth is showing off the nativity that she made at daycare, and Tommy is . . . I'm not exactly sure what he's doing actually!
