Gingerbread village

We made a gingerbread village this year. Elizabeth helped us to decorate them. She loved putting the icing on the houses and decorating with the gumdrops and candy canes. Of course, licking her fingers was her favorite part. Even Tommy joined in on the fun by getting into the icing!

December with the Machielsons

December has been a busy month. We travelled down to Virginia for Grammy's 70th birthday. It was nice to see the family and have all of the cousins together. Then the next morning we had an old fashioned Warnagiris Christmas! The kids loved spending time with the family.


After Grammy's birthday we returned back home to get ready for Christmas. Elizabeth helped to make our christmas cookies. She was a great help and loved frosting the cookies, and licking it off of her fingers of course :)

Then of course it was to Chicago for Christmas Eve and then back home to Indiana for the day after Christmas to open up the rest of our gifts. We have a lot of pics of the kids, so these are a sampling of our favorites. We hope that you and your families had a great Christmas and here's for a great 2012!
